UNSOLVED: Elizabeth Salgado
On April 16th, 2015, 26-year-old Elizabeth Salgado finished school for the day at the language center in Provo, Utah. She’d arrived in Provo just 18 days earlier from Mexico, excited to learn English and surround herself with a community of others who were part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Elizabeth was kind and purpose-driven, with a family back home in Mexico who missed her everyday. Unfortunately, she’d never return to them.
When she left school that day, she disappeared. Her remains were found three years later, 15 miles from where she was last seen. To this day, there have been no solid leads and no official suspect, and her murder remains unsolved.
